BetterJobs API 2026-10-01

BetterJobs sends your job search to the BetterJobs index and, depending on your plan, up to six job-data providers (Reqbeat, SignalsAPI, TheirStack, JobsPipe, Coresignal, Techmap). It merges the results, removes duplicates and returns canonical jobs. You pay 1 credit per unique job returned that you have not already paid for. Duplicates, already-paid jobs, empty pages and dry runs are free.

  • Auth: Authorization: Bearer bj_live_... (sandbox keys start with bj_test_).
  • Version: send BetterJobs-Version: 2026-10-01. Changes inside a version are additive only.
  • Idempotency: every authenticated POST accepts an Idempotency-Key header.
  • Every response carries X-Request-Id. Billable responses carry X-Credits-Charged and X-Credits-Remaining.
  • Rate limits: RateLimit-Limit, RateLimit-Remaining, RateLimit-Reset. A 429 adds Retry-After.

All example data is illustrative. Companies use fictional .example domains.
